View and download your client documents on the Web

In this guide, you'll learn how to view, manage and upload your documents to your client's record on your desktop Timely app.

If you're using the Timely app on your iPhone or iPad, then you can upload documents directly from the Timely app by scanning documents with your phone camera. This is particularly useful if you have paper documents and you wish to import them into your customer record on Timely.

How to find your client documents

  1. Head to the Customers tab in Timely
  2. Search for the client and click on their name to open their record
  3. Go to the Documents tab:

How to view your list of client documents

Introductory instruction
  1. Once you are on the documents tab then you will see a list of documents that you have uploaded from your iOS App
  2. The documents are date ordered with the most recent upload at the top. The document in the list will display the title, the staff member who uploaded it, the time it was uploaded and the document type

3 How to download your client documents

  1. When looking at your list of documents you can download a document. There is a download button on the right of the document title
  2. Click on Download of the respective document, and it will immediately download to your computer

How to delete your client documents

Introductory instruction
  1. When looking at your list of documents you can delete a document. There is a red delete trash can icon on the right of the download button
  2. Click on the red trash can of the respective document in order to prompt the delete action.
  3. When you click on the red trash can you will see a prompt confirming if you would like to delete the document

How to control which staff member has access to documents

You are able to control which staff members have access to your customer documents. You will need to update their access on the full Timely website. Head to Account > Staff access.

  1. Click Edit access next to the staff member
  2. Scroll down to the Customers section
  3. If the staff member has access to the Customers tab, there will be an additional checkbox available:

  1. Check the box next to Allow access to customer attachments if you'd like them to be able to view, upload, edit or delete documents
  2. Click Save to apply
